near the oceans edge, where i hang my head
and watch a stone make it with the water
i think of me and you, all i've put you through
i know it's hard to make love to a stone
it's turning out all wrong
sink to the bottom of my heart to find what i feel

i try to write you poems, everything seems wrong
i walk this floor made of crumpled verses
am i enough for you? i don't know what to do
i drink, i dream, swan dive into sleep
am i making this too deep?
