Captured and lost
On the tape recorder
Caught the playback
Last night fast asleep
Was no vision
Just a string of numbers
The ??punk?? came up and asked
'Would you like to play again?'
Across the border
Via South Dakota
Saw my father
And we drew up the plan
Devised a system
Of flawless intentions
But it disappeared
In route to its destination
Now to retrieve
The black box recorder
And hope the data
Isn't damaged and scattered
I would settle
For a fragment
Of the ??unintelligible??
Or anything better
