On a snowy March New England nightIn a room that's far too dim to light
A perfect setting, perfect place
For self-examination
And the snow blocks up the window sill
Until there is only one pane
For me to press my face against
And pray for steady rain
To descend and quickly knock down
This cold and frigid wall
That I have built around myself
In attempt to stop the squall
See in these years of writing these songs
That try to justify my wrongs
I've learned a little about myself
Like I'm not so bad
A rainy day in a sunny week
Beats a barricade without a leak
Because at least I see the bright days too
Shine so bright they burn my eyes
