I woke up on Monday morning,
I must get ready for my day-long journey,
I must complete all the work on the farm,
I hope I do not injure my arm.
I need a farmer's breakfast to get me through,
To get me through all the jobs I need to do,
It must last through out my day,
Even when I am carrying the hay.

First I will get some eggs from a hen,
Scrambled or fried, maybe if I can,
I will cook some ham from a pig,
That will make me happy so I'll do a jig.
I might also make some bacon,
Which I will cook at my frying station,
Last I'll get some milk from a cow,
After that I will wipe my brow.

I sat down at the table and I started to eat,
I first took a bite of bacon which is meat.
It was so delicious I jumped to my feet,
It took a while for me to get back in my seat.
I ate all the foods, one by one,
It was so tasty I started to hum.
But now I am done so I must do all my chores,
This breakfast will get me through today and more.
