Testo Threnody The Dead Science
A lifetime tunneling towards void stretched out for a causeNow it's buried in a mountain of poison-dipped gauze
Embalmed in inky thought
Corpses buried on the banks of the Mississippi River
Now she too, deep in the cold mud, does shiver
The floods drag out the named
Sanctuary decayed
Memory synapses rotted out like broken cars
Her sense of composure is spiralling out to the stars
A gray and soaking weight
Cell wall division corroding under force of tears
Cacophony of voices engaging with her brittle ears
Her face gets no relief
Threnody for her teeth
