Testo This Red Fence The Deadbeat Decade
Our old days of watching Seinfeld reruns are done. This meal together will be our last one. Now only yearbooks and old notes survive. Now youâre leaving and I realize youâre the only thing that matters. And when it all comes down Iâll sit here with wishes and drown in our ashes. Tonight is one more night closer to you. This fence screams of dying kisses. Iâm left in pieces by this distance. The restaurant passes by on the way to work. Iâll laugh at Kramer like a lonely jerk. And what can I do? What are we doing here? Shades of gray start drifting away and all I hope is that this naiveness will stay. This red fence, the final obstacle to truth. We canât park here forever, but if I drive, Iâve lost you.
Can I prove to you Iâm worth you staying? The car door slams, my mind starts saying:
Tomorrow youâre moving away. Tomorrow weâre moving further away. Tonight is one more night closer to truth.
